Aart van den Bos
Sometimes, when I give a presentation, I’ll show the participants a photograph of my children. Their future – symbolic of all future generations – is really what motivates me to make a positive contribution to a better world.
My experience lies in entrepreneurship, financials, (business planning / subsidies / loans) start-ups and Greenfield operations, MVO (Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship) and AgriBusiness.
I’m convinced that doing what you love makes you better and better at what you do. Along the way, you often discover that what seems natural or normal to you, isn’t necessarily all that self-explanatory to others.
I have a big network (private sector / NGOs / knowledge institutions / government) and look at opportunities from an entrepreneur’s perspective. I quickly become enthusiastic about something but insist on checking things thoroughly. I love to work together with other people, and my ambition for the coming years is to reap what’s been sowed over the past years; that is to say a high ecological, social and financial return.
I admire my dad. I’m sorry to say that he passed away, but I often find that – in hindsight – I learned a lot from him. Furthermore, I feel that the founder of Eosta, Volkert Engelsman is an intelligent, charismatic man. He is currently in 25th place on Trouw’s (leading Dutch broadsheet) sustainable Top 100. I admire my wife and my friends who inspire and motivate me to do what I do.
As a Generous Mind I work in the sectors nature management, recycling, health and nutrition. My areas of expertise are innovation, production and finance. My role as a Mind is that of a consultant, sounding board, partner, co-creator and conscience.
