I regard myself as a creative strategist - or a strategic creative person - with lots of experience in developing (design) concepts, marketing, innovation and product development. And also in streamlining processes and optimizing the client’s product range to better meet the market’s short and long term needs. In a nutshell: my expertise is ‘thinking ahead’ and ‘causing’ projects to be actually realized.
As a Generous Mind I inspire and advise businesses, organizations and design agencies worldwide to do things differently and make a contribution to the greater whole. I develop concrete (design) solutions for the widest possible variety of often complex issues.
My career took off in 1999 when Nike offered me a job as one of their first designers in its newly established European headquarters in Hilversum. That's where my creative adventure started as a freelance design director. Soon projects followed for Levi’s, Heineken, Philips, Bugaboo and VMK Children’s Hospital, PGGM and the American School of The Hague. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with both great clients as well as inspiring international agencies such as W+K, Sid Lee, Mother, JWT, Rapt Studio and ‘...,staat’.
