About me
I am a driven impact-maker with over 25 years of experience in management, business development, and marketing. My combination of strategic thinking, empathy, and people-oriented leadership style enables me to achieve exceptional results. Known as a forerunner and initiator, I bring energy, discipline, and a customer-focused mindset to every project.
My professional journey began with studying Business Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Marketing Management with a focus on Consumer Behavior.
Early in my career, I demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by establishing a wholesale business for premium pet food. My international experience, including an eight-month solo trip through Southeast Asia, has broadened my perspective and strengthened my adaptability.
At Dr. Oetker, I held various leadership positions, including Marketing Manager and head of Trade Marketing. Under my leadership, the company became the market leader in frozen pizzas in the Benelux. I also co-founded the "VriesVers Platform," an association aimed at enhancing the image of frozen foods, engaging over 65% of retailers and manufacturers in the market.
Today, I focus on sustainability and circular economy principles. I'm involved in various initiatives, including consulting on seaweed-based paper and packaging, transforming roadside grass into paper/carton, and coaching on sustainable energy use.
I strongly believe that waste is just untapped potential and that if something can't be circular, it doesn't belong in the future. With this conviction, I strive to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future for people and our planet.
In my free time, I enjoy tennis, bridge, yoga, meditation, winter sports, cooking, and baking. I'm also passionate about chocolate, sustainability, circular economy, and biomimicry.
